Giovanni Sollima and ITS WONDERFUL CURIOSITY 'CREATIVE AND
Giovanni Sollima. A name that sometimes I echoed in my ears. I knew it was a cellist, but not much more. I had heard some hasty passage from a cd, but I had left little of his music. It was not enough to give it a meaning. So last December 12 I went to listen to the concert "We were trees" at the Theatre Building on Gallarate albeit with a little 'fear. Instead, I was absolutely stunned by his music.
The project which saw him accompanied by Kaleidoskop Solistenensemble, a group of young and highly trained musicians, mostly Germans. Most have had less than 25 years. Only bows, six violins, two violas, two cellos and a bass, directed by Julian Kuerti. Sollima
Besides, as another solo cello, one of the equally surprising Monika Leskovar.
There are several things that left me completely amazed at this concert.
